Bonjour

Ahh Paris. . . .this time last year we were there, eating enough bread and pastry's to feed a small nation, visiting Amelie, The Mona Lisa and riding carousels :)
I watched Midnight in Paris last night, awesome film by the way! I really liked it, probably because I, as many of us, understand the main characters wish to be in a different era. I thought it was beautifully put together and had a really good moral at the end. I wont spoil it for people who haven't seen it, but you MUST. As soon as possible. Thanks.
But anyway it reminded me of the great time we had in Paris last year, sigh, Wish I was there again. Meredith from One Sheepish Girl is on her way there tomorrow and I would very much like to be in her suitcase:) We had a lovely bloggers meet up last Thursday, my first one ever. It was very exciting, and a bit nerve racking, but it was SO nice to meet 6 lovely ladies and just have a nice relaxed tea and chat about all things blog/crafty:) Pictures will follow but the weather is so nice I am having a hard time trying to stay at my computer editing photos!!
Anyway I am rambling a bit, Happy Tuesday everyone:)

You Must Create

Ok so the weather (yes I am talking about the weather again). . . . . while the rest of the world seems to be in summer almost we here in the Uk are a bit puzzled about where we stand. Every day is a slight variation of cold, wet, damp or cloudy. And this annoys me not only because its almost the end of MAY (yes that's MAY) but also because when I wake up in the morning I have no idea what to wear.
The You Must Create collection has given me hope that I can cope with this in between stage before hopefully our summer comes. It hits the spot with versatile cool layers that look like they would be comfortable to wear whilst having a adventure. And I do love having adventures:)

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, I was busy working and feel rather sleepy this Monday afternoon. I have eaten far too much at lunch and now want to have a nap:)
Happy Monday!

Breath deep

*

Parker Fitzgeralds Photos make me want to go on a epic road trip. . . . preferably to some mountains.
I think that living in a city like London is awesome but it can feel a little claustrophobic sometimes, sometimes I feel like I just need to get out and breath deep some fresh air.
thankfully we do have some lovely parks near me. . . until I can get out of london I am going to make more of a effort to try and visit them:)
Do you live in a city? suffer from the same feeling as me?
Happy Wednesday everyone!

Industry of one

'Grace Smith was not born for this time. Gizmos and gadgets do not amuse her. Velvet turbans become her. To sum it up, she would prefer to read on good old fashioned paper thank you very much. '

'Like the quirky, slightly sinister pieces clustered throughout her East Village VeraMeat shop, Vera Balyura’s story carries an element of the fantastical.'

'Amy Merrick contains her talents well. She doesn’t boast. Or name drop. She demurely skips through mentions of heaping accomplishments. In short, she could stand to be a little more smug. Then again, it’s Amy’s down-to-earth qualities (no pun intended) that make this modern day flower girl all the more charming.'

Industry of one is my new favourite sites, I love reading peoples creative story's, especially when they are able to make a life out of it. Helps me to dream:)
I had the most amazing weekend at The Great Escape festival, and will be boring you all silly with a heavily inspired music post soon all about it! It wore me out a bit though and believe it or not I have actually had no voice for the last 2 days because of all the singing/wooping! So I am trying to not talk as much to rest it and coax it back, hard task for me!
Hope you all had great weekends, what did you get up to?

Happy tuesday everyone:)

Mokosha

I have spent the last few days ill:( Something is wrong with my belly and it keeps letting me know. . . . so instead of getting out and bout as planned for the bank holiday I have been in bed with my cats obsessively watching Once upon a time, Fred and Ginger movies (Tonight its Roberta:) and surfing sewing blogs.
I love sewing blogs, so much that I actually spend quite a lot of time reading them but never actually sewing:) But that is about to change. I am determined to get back on track with my goal of learning how to sew more. Especially when  I see everyone's Me-Made-May creations, I wish I was part of that, So that's my goal for next year, to spend next may wearing my creations every day.
I have a new hero in the Sewing world. . . . .Her name is Mokosha and I have big girl/creative crush on her.

Not only does she find the time to make almost ALL of the clothes above, she also is a art historian and archeologist!!! How cool is that! I want to be her friend. . . .and possibly steal all her clothes:)
The thing I love is how everything she makes is her own style, is bright colourful and just herself. Which is one of the best things about sewing right?!
Who has been inspiring you lately? Please share as I always love to find more inspiration:)
Happy Tuesday everyone!

I love sundays . . . .cup of tea and breckfast in bed!!! I'm having a bit of a quiet day today, yesterday was a bit crazy at work and I feel like I just need some quiet time to sort my life out!
I'm excited for next weekend though because my brothers and I and some friends are heading to Brighton for the Great escape festival, a awesome festival for new music talent:) Cant wait . . . so I thought for this edition of Musical Sundays I  would show one of the people I am hoping to see:)

Award

*

Recently I got a lovely message from Wendy from The Butterfly Balcony that she has passed on a Blog award to me:) Well I was really chuffed, I am still relatively new to the world of blogging and cant quite believe that people read this little corner of the internet, let alone enjoy it:) So thanks so much Wendy! Plus  I really love her blog, she has the best D-I-Ys and her stitch her style series has me browsing for hours:)

Part of the Award was to tell the world 7 things they may not know about me. . . . prepare to be shocked..!

1. I have a guilty obsession with dance films. . . .yes I love to watch break dancers, hip hoppers, and the like shake their booty:) I did a  bit of dance when I was younger and still nothing  gives me quite as much pleasure as dancing the night away, and I appreciate so much the choreography that goes into films like Step up and Honey, regardless of their cheesy dialogue!

2. I have always wanted to live in a lighthouse:) One day my dream may come true.

3. My first ever concert was Steps when I was 10, loved every minute of it and I'm not ashamed

4. I read terribly fast, I can read books in a day, especially when I get into them:)

5. I won a talent contest when I was 8 doing the River dance by myself, my nan even made the costume for me!

6. I have two cats, one of which is the silliest cat known to man. She cant walk on a fence without falling off, is almost fierce when she gives you some kitty loving and she has two front teeth that stick out that make her look really goofy:) I love her.

7. I cant cook, I can bake but not cook. I shall have to live off cake for the rest of my life I think:)

On a bit of a side note. . . .Happy Star Wars day!!!
May the fourth be with you!
