Neil Krug

Neil Krug is an American artist based in L.A, and takes he most amazing photos of Bands like Justice, Ladytron, Bats for lashes and The Pierces.
His style is very 60's psychedelic, just what I need this Gray morning to cheer me up:)
I had a awesome weekend in Brighton for The Great Escape, a new music festival. I will be posting about some of my favourite music later this week:)

Hope you are all well and Happy Tuesday!!

Sam - Foyles War

I am sure I have told you lovely peeps before, since the beginning of the year I have been slightly obsessed with detective shows, preferably set in the 20s, 30s or 40s.
I have been working my way through Poirot, Miss Marple and the rather marvellous Endeavour ( The young Morse, set in the 60s and awesome).
I cant believe that its taken me this long to get round to Foyles War.
I love it frankly.

The main female character is the great Detectives driver, Sam.
Most of the time we see her only in her drivers uniform, which is great but I was craving the costume designers to let her get dressed up a little. And finally at the end of Series 2 it happened:)

I love her cute summery dress and cardigan Combo she wears on a Cinema date:)
The detail of the white flowers on the blue panels is cute.

Out for a stroll date number 2 is my favourite I think. Its a shame you don't get a proper look at her lovely red coat but I like the colour and simple shape. The contrasting blue pussy bow looks great on her black blouse/dress.
She also wears the same accessories throughout the seasons and one of my favourite are these blue flower earrings, they are so sweet and a gorgeous colour.

- All Screen-caps taken by me -

And finally I loved the way her hair is done in Braids for work:) makes me want to grow my hair out:)
Does anyone else have any period show recommendations for me?
I have a feeling I am going to work through this series pretty fast!!

Happy Wednesday to you all:)

Sew Envy

The electronic world is not being kind to me today.
I had planned to do some editing work etc but my computer just does not want to play.
I think it may be a virus from downloading a load of old Hitchcock the other day,
just please dont tell my brother, He has a mild nervous breakdown whenever he has to clean off my computer!!
Anyway to help calm my frustration I have been on a Blog voyage, discovering new places to explore.
My sewing obsession is continuing and I actually made (pretty much finished:) my first skirt the other day!
And I have discovered a few new sewing blogs in which to drool/enviously stare at:)

This girl is AMAZING, she puts the fun back into sewing. I LOVE her use of African prints
(I may actually dig into my rather large stash I brought back from Ghana to make a skirt like hers:)

Pretty French lady and her cute simple clothes made for herself and her (Often twirling) daughter:)

Reanas choice of colour and fabric is really inspiring,

I love Zoes Vintage inspired dresses.

Last but not least its The Closet Case Files. Yes I cant believe I haven't stumbled across this Blog before.
This Girl makes me laugh so much! Her sewing is fun and she has the most enviable sewing room ever:

Plus she is from Montreal, the land of the cool people.
Nuff said:)

I have to go and make tea now to sustain myself through the rest of my Blog travels.
Hope you all had a marvellous weekend and
Happy Monday!!
