So this week has been busy.

That's not unusual or unwelcome, however I am looking forward to having some down time this weekend.

We are having a leaving meal for my brother tonight who is off to central America for a few months and I am trying hard not to be too jealous!!

Today is National Roald Dahl day :)

I think he has a special place in most of our hearts, because through his eyes magical lands were invented where kids ruled. If we are honest I think we have all imagined ourselves as one or other of his characters.

For me it was always Matilda.

The magical girl who loved reading and escaped into literary worlds always rang a bell with me.

After a busy weekend I am feeling a bit brain dead tonight so I thought I would just leave you with a thought for the day.

I hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend here in the UK, I am personally trying to wrap my head around the thought that Friday is the last day of August!

Where has this year gone??!!
