New Jewellery in the shop:)

Brand new Jewellery in the shop:)
Sometimes its hard to list them when I love them so much. . . . .especially as they are all in my Unique collection, so they are one-of-a-kind.
But hey, I know someone somewhere will give these guys a new home,
and take them forward with new memories.
Inspired by the past, created for the present:)

John Lewis Advert - the important things

John Lewis always do the most amazing adverts around Christmas time, and this one is possibly the best:)
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend, as I am still feeling sorry for myself in bed, today is going to be about finishing my cowl and old films I think.
Plus Downton is back on, so that is something to look forward to tonight:)

Good night, day - Knitspiration

Today I have a stinking cold.
I hate being ill. . . . however it does give me time to focus on some ME crafts.
This is something I haven't done for a while, just made something for ME.

I am a massive fan of Tara Lynn, and have been for a while, so you can imagine my excitement when I received my pattern booklet a month ago. I can now create my very own Goodnight, day beauty's. And finally as the weather is getting a bit cooler I feel the time has arrived to start one.

I had bought some beautiful denim looking wool on sale and thought it would be lovely for the Meaford Cowl.

Taras patterns are simply written and easy to follow, especially due to her seamless teqniques, meaning that in none of her patterns do you have to sew anything up, but they are ready to wear straight from the needles, The thing I love about them is that all of the patterns really showcase the wool/yarn they are made from. I foresee a small fortune being spent on wool for these projects:)
Next to be made is the Markham loop Collar which I have had my eye on for some time.

She has also released some new knits for the new A/W season, which have got me all inspired!

Are you getting inspired for winter crafts? What have you got going project wise?
Happy thursday everyone:)

Summer in the City, Future Cinema - Grease

Last Friday a friend (The beautiful Amberooney:) and I went to Future Cinemas Grease.

As some of you can probably remember, I went to the Bugsy Malone one a bit earlier in the year, and so was really looking forward to this extravaganza.

It was in a Schools field in south London. Between deciding whether to hang out in Frenchies house and get a vintage hair-do, or go and jive to the band (jiving won!) we managed to get round most of the activity's. I love the fact you can really pick out the people acting the characters of the film, they wonder around mingling with the crowd ,T-birds flirting with all the pretty girls and the cheer leaders showing off their skills. I would love to be part of one of their shows:)

It was a perfect sunny evening and as the sun went down everyone took to the bottom of the field when the big screen started playing the opening bars of Summer loving.
Much singing and dancing ensued:)

Honestly if you are a fellow UK dweller please try out Future Cinema. It really is a cinema experience unlike any other:)
Thank you Future Cinema . . . .Grease is the word:)

Happy Friday everyone!

Happy Roald Dahl Day

*

Today is National Roald Dahl day :)

I think he has a special place in most of our hearts, because through his eyes magical lands were invented where kids ruled. If we are honest I think we have all imagined ourselves as one or other of his characters.
For me it was always Matilda.

The magical girl who loved reading and escaped into literary worlds always rang a bell with me.
What is your favourite Roald Dahl book?

Happy Roald Dahl Day everyone:)

Autumn Style - Lauren Moffatt

I woke up this morning and something occurred to me. . . .I wasn't hot, or warm even. It was sunny but there was definitely a chill in the air. Autumn.
My favourite season of the year has shown its face.
Who knows if it will last in our crazy weather times, but I plan to enjoy it.
The funny thing was I suddenly didn't know what to wear.
All last month its been lighter layers the better, cottons and flip flops, but I needed some inspiration.
Cue Lauren Moffatt.

I remembered a feature on her A/W collection I had seen on Calivintage all the way back on febuary, and I went in search of it.

The school theme of her show is just right for the feel of September, when all I want to do is buy stationary:)
I love the brightness of it all too, shows that Autumn and Winter doesn't have to mean dull drab clothes.

I love them all, especially the stripy pencil skirt and green/navy coat.
What's your favourite?
Any places you look at for A/W inspiration?

Happy Wednesday everyone!
