Sundance Tin Types

All Esquire Via Miss Moss

Tin types, specifically, painstakingly shot by the photographer Victoria Will at the Sundance festival.
If you go to her website you can see even more amazing portraits.
Just hauntingly beautiful.

Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday!!

Etsy Love // Datter Industries

As soon as I stumbled across Datter Industries I feel in love with the delicate jewellery. I definitely can see myself wearing most of these and I am quite picky about my jewellery, I think you always are about things you are interested in.

"Dark, elegant jewelry, handmade in London by illustrator Kaye Blegvad. Datter is the Danish word for 'daughter'. It's part 'data', part 'matter'. It's a little alchemical. At the very least, it's my project to turn drawings and ideas into jewelry."

I am trying to be careful how I spend my money this year, and only buy thins that I REALLY love and that will be timeless, rather than things that might be cheap but will fall apart or lose their appeal.
And so to reward myself I am going to treat myself every now and again to something I really want. I think The Stary Ring might be my first treat of this year:)

Happy Friday everyone and as its national compliment day - you are all gorgeous!

So hey guys if learning to knit is one of your new years resolutions, then this would be a good place to start with the Lambton Cowl :)

Just Look Up

 I love buildings.
A large part of my holiday snaps are of buildings so I thought I would start a series called Just Look up.
Here are my ones from New York last October:

I miss it!!

Catherine Hyde Illustrations

I have been reading quite a bit this month, I love fairy story's in particular.
There was just something about artist Catherine Hydes work that reminded me of some of my favourite stories. Her pictures almost seem like tales in themselves.

“I am constantly attempting to convey the landscape in a state of suspension in order to gain glimpses of its interconnectedness, its history and beauty. Within my images I use the archetypical hare, stag, owl and fish as emblems of wildness, fertility and permanence: their movements and journey through the paintings act as vehicles that bind the elements and the seasons together.”

Hello there everyone!!!
I hope you are well and enjoying the start of 2014.
I cant believe its the new year already!! After a busy time last week flying around the country visiting friends, its been nice to have a quiet couple of days to reassess and make plans for the coming year:)
I'm sure I will be sharing some of those goals here when I have them a bit more concrete in my head.

But in the meantime, I have put some cute little bits in the shop today:

As you can probably tell I am a bit obsessed with Triangles at the moment!!
Come over and have a peek and treat yourself this gray Saturday!!

Hope you have a lovely weekend!!!
