Hello there everyone!!!
I hope you are well and enjoying the start of 2014.
I cant believe its the new year already!! After a busy time last week flying around the country visiting friends, its been nice to have a quiet couple of days to reassess and make plans for the coming year:)
I'm sure I will be sharing some of those goals here when I have them a bit more concrete in my head.

But in the meantime, I have put some cute little bits in the shop today:

As you can probably tell I am a bit obsessed with Triangles at the moment!!
Come over and have a peek and treat yourself this gray Saturday!!

Hope you have a lovely weekend!!!

Ceramics

While ill in bed readers, I inevitably take breaks from Netflix
(Miss Fishers Murder Mysterys is a firm favourite!)
and then spend a couple of hours trying not to blow all my hard earned cash on Etsy.

This week I am a bit obsessed with Ceramics. Especially ones you can put cute little plants in.
I think I need more green in my life as I have been wanting to buy some plants for ages,.
Anywho here are some of my favourites:

Hope you are all well and have a cosy weekend planned!

Vintage Knitting Patterns

Thanks to the awesome Vixen Vintage I discovered the amazingness that is
the V&A collection of 1940's Patterns To Knit.

All these Patterns and more available FREE to download here.
I love the Turbans and the last Cardigan pattern. I am still working my way through the Cannot Fail To Please jumper, but I'm getting there, almost done with the back and so am getting itchy feet, looking around for my next project!!
Hope you all are having a lovely week so far!!

Avoca

When I was on the Emerald Isle last week my friend Annie and I drove into the lovely countryside to visit the Avoca Mill.

Most of you probably know my love/obsession with interesting crafts,
and hand weaving has just been added to that list.
The wool, the beautiful colours and patterns, its my paradise.

One of the brilliant things about the mill is you can just wander round while they are working!!
Its awesome to see where everything is made and you can even go back into the mill and find the person who made the rug/scarf/bag/wrap that you just bought and ask them to sign it for you:)
The Mill has been running since the early 1700s, providing work for the small village, but it wasn't until the Wynn sisters took over in the 1920s that the crafters became so well recognized.
From designers such as Schiaparelli to the Queen people worldwide fell in love with the signature bright colours and beautiful handmade designs.

I am a little bit in love with the whole place and secretly wish that one day they will ring me up and offer me a job where I can just go and play with all the pretty wools and colours:)

I have been having fun this week sorting out the photos for some new Pink Sunshine pieces inspired by Ghana. Its taken me a while, but the jewellery should be up in the shop by the end of this week finally!!!
So keep your eyes peeled for that and hope you are having a lovely weekend:)

Favourite D-I-Y's

Sunday is a good day for making things.
I tend to have Sundays as my chill day and always end up digging out some craft or other, today its knitting:)
But I thought I would share some of my favourite D-I-Y tutorials that are gracing the cyber space at the moment.

This Bracelet- I love how simple this jewellery is and how cool it looks. Would love to try this with other tools. . . .can you imagine spanners hanging off a necklace??

This Kitten Bag is just adorable. Nuff said.

This garland- Is perfect for spring, which is just around the corner!! The sun is out today here in London so I am feeling decidedly spring like:)

This Scarf- I LOVE stars, bit of a constellation Geek too, so this scarf is awesome. I have been meaning to play with fabric printing for a while now and this looks like it shall be first on my list:)

Hope the rest of you lovelies are having a nice Sunday too, I'm off to have some food now as I'm starving and there is a smell of fry-up in the air:)

Good night, day - Knitspiration

Today I have a stinking cold.
I hate being ill. . . . however it does give me time to focus on some ME crafts.
This is something I haven't done for a while, just made something for ME.

I am a massive fan of Tara Lynn, and have been for a while, so you can imagine my excitement when I received my pattern booklet a month ago. I can now create my very own Goodnight, day beauty's. And finally as the weather is getting a bit cooler I feel the time has arrived to start one.

I had bought some beautiful denim looking wool on sale and thought it would be lovely for the Meaford Cowl.

Taras patterns are simply written and easy to follow, especially due to her seamless teqniques, meaning that in none of her patterns do you have to sew anything up, but they are ready to wear straight from the needles, The thing I love about them is that all of the patterns really showcase the wool/yarn they are made from. I foresee a small fortune being spent on wool for these projects:)
Next to be made is the Markham loop Collar which I have had my eye on for some time.

She has also released some new knits for the new A/W season, which have got me all inspired!

Are you getting inspired for winter crafts? What have you got going project wise?
Happy thursday everyone:)
