All this happiness - Wearing the book

I love Kater's from All This Happiness Wearing Book series, it's one of my favourite fashion/book nerd concepts!! She pairs the colours so pretty too!!

I would love to have the courage to do some outfit posts, especially if they are as inventive as Katers.
Maybe this summer is the time to unleash my looks on the internet :)

Happy World book day!!!

*

I love books.
Always have done, my mum used to come up to my room when I was young, worried that she hadn't seen me for hours and I would be sat with my nose in a book, occupied for hours in other worlds.

I always thought that it wouldn't happen to me, I wouldn't be one of those people that grew up and didn't have time to read any more. But here we are, at the grand old age of 24 and I find it hard nowadays to find the time to sit like I used to and get lost in a good book.

But the thing is that times are changing, kids now are lost in the world of apple and technology. They don't seem to want to read any more. So World Book Day to the rescue, with loads of kids books on special offer and library's (remember those??) doing book related fun stuff.

So today is a day to remember how reading made you feel when you were a kid, that you could travel anywhere, do anything, helped by your literary best friends, in my case Matilda, Anne and Jo March.

What where your favourite books when you were young? do you still make time to read now?
Happy World Book Day everyone:)

Ex-Libris Journals

I LOVE stationary.
I cant help it, especially in autumn all I want to do is buy journals, and pens and then sit in my cosy room and write. I think it comes from a child's longing to be Jo from Little Women:)
A little while ago I was looking for a gift for a friend and stumbled across Ex-Libris Journals Etsy shop and fell in love with most of their items. So I thought I would share a few with you all today.

They are all created from antique, well-loved copy's of books, Refurbished and up-cycled into an eclectic and one of a kind journal.
The only problem is choosing which ones to treat myself too:)
Hope you are all having a awesome week.
Happy Wednesday!

Happy Roald Dahl Day

*

Today is National Roald Dahl day :)

I think he has a special place in most of our hearts, because through his eyes magical lands were invented where kids ruled. If we are honest I think we have all imagined ourselves as one or other of his characters.
For me it was always Matilda.

The magical girl who loved reading and escaped into literary worlds always rang a bell with me.
What is your favourite Roald Dahl book?

Happy Roald Dahl Day everyone:)

I have, I am, I will - Part 2

I have managed to get a bit of reading done the last few weeks, its funny but I'm finding it harder and harder to find time to read. I would have hated my older self for saying that when I was a kid. I was sure that I would never turn into that person who 'Didn't have enough time' for reading.
But here I am. . . .23 years old and struggling to buy out the time for the pile of books waiting by the side of my bed. However as I said this last month has been quite productive:

I Have:
First up is Miss Smilla's guide to snow which I really enjoyed. It was interestingly written, with thought provoking characters, especially the heroine. Essentially its a murder mystery, but I never actually felt like that was what I was reading, as it had quite a lot of dimensions. Definitely a read I would recommend.

I Am:
So currently I am half way through Pure, a story set in Paris, pre-revolution, and is the story of a young engineer who is given the job of removing a graveyard from the centre of Paris which is polluting the surrounding area. So far I am enjoying the story, its full of interesting characters and I want to know what happens in the end, if the hero will overcome the problems and finally finish a job he dislikes.

I Will:
And finally the next on my reading list is a classic I have never heard of. Apparently the story of two reclusive sisters who live together, its a 'chiller' so I may have to read behind my pillow:)

What are you reading at the moment?
Did you read much over the summer?

I am off now to have a Hunger Games/Cheese on toast party:) Pretty good combo don't you think?!
